The Economy and Your Debt is Affecting Your Health and Well-Being

The economy is beginning to take a toll on everyone in one form or another. There are widespread reports that people are not able to sleep at night. If they do fall asleep they wake up in the middle of the night unable to return to a restful sleep. People are worried about money and paying their debts. There is a lot of uncertainty going around. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.

Some people are one pay check from being evicted or foreclosed upon which would put them out on the street. As debts go unpaid and the debt collector continues to call we are seeing more and more people get stressed out.

If you are stressed out it is not healthy. Your blood pressure can rise which can lead to strokes and heart attacks.

The best way to stop these feelings of anxiety, depression and stress is to take action. When you are stressed out it’s easy to become paralyzed by fear and choose to do nothing. Taking action puts you in control and helps you to focus on a resolution to your problem. Stress makes you focus all of your energy and resources on the problem which keeps you from seeing your way out of a particular situation.

The first thing you need to do is list every single thing that has you stressed out. This can be a great practice in spirituality Next you need to acknowledge the worst thing that can happen. After you have done that you need to map out an action plan that will allow you to meet your challenge head on. You plan should provide some effective measures for overcoming the problem. Asking good quality questions is one of the best ways to arrive at a good quality answer. Don’t let you circumstances get the best of you.

Make sure you continue to exercise even if you only take a 15 minute walk. You should start or continue eating healthy. During stressful times junk food will only add fuel to your feelings of anxiety, stress and depression. Find a friend to share your problems with. Everyone needs a sounding board every now and then. There is always hope and there is always going to be a way to resolve your problem. Unfortunately you will never find the strategy when you are stressed out. When you relax and calm you mind you put yourself in a position where you are able to receive answers to your problems. You can think a lot clearer when you are not busy with stress and anxiety. There will certainly be times when you are not able to quiet your mind, especially if things are chaotic, but this is a major step in helping you resolve your problem.
